About the role
This co‑op position supports Design Engineering and Process Engineering to ensure product quality throughout development and manufacturing. You will work on‑site in Fountain Inn for the January‑May term.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to safeguard product quality during design development.
- Use PFMEA, Control Plans, gaging and other tools with Process Engineering to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
- Implement multi‑layered quality systems across manufacturing operations.
- Lead investigations of customer complaints, identify root causes and develop corrective actions (8D, Shainin, 5‑Why).
- Analyze data to spot trends and recommend improvements.
Required profile
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on‑site in Fountain Inn and be available January‑May.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or TPM (plus).
