Quality Assurance Nurse Coordinator – Emergency Department

About the role

The Quality Assurance Nurse Coordinator supports the Emergency Department by monitoring and improving the quality and effectiveness of patient care. Working closely with the QA Supervisor, physicians, and staff, this RN ensures seamless follow‑up for discharged patients.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data related to ED patient outcomes.
• Prepare and review quality reports for department leadership.
• Conduct discharge phone calls to facilitate continuity of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, management, and nursing staff to implement quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and active RN license.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an emergency setting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with evidence‑based guidelines and standards of care.

Required skills

• Data collection and basic report preparation.
