Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the independent implementation and oversight of the project Quality Assurance Program for engineering, procurement, construction, testing and supplier activities. This senior position ensures that all QA processes meet regulatory and contractual requirements while protecting project quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and administer the project Quality Assurance Plan, including audit, surveillance and qualification programs.
• Implement ASME NQA‑1‑2019 and DOE O 414.1D graded‑approach requirements across safety‑class and production work.
• Plan and lead independent audits of CAM, subcontractors, suppliers, laboratories and field activities; issue findings and verify corrective actions.
• Exercise stop‑work authority for non‑conforming items and manage related controls.
• Review procedures, procurement documents, inspection/test plans and construction records for compliance.
• Monitor quality metrics, audit schedules, supplier performance and turnover readiness, communicating risks and recovery actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, quality, construction management or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10 years of progressive quality experience, including at least 5 years in DOE or regulated nuclear environments.
• At least 3 years leading QA personnel or programs.
• Current or prior ASME NQA‑1 Lead Auditor qualification preferred.
