Quality Assurance Engineer Manager

About the role

Moog is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer Manager to lead its Johnson City, TN site. The role focuses on ensuring 100% product quality, maintaining compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and audit the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
• Lead the Johnson City Quality Engineering team, applying Lean practices and continuous‑improvement tools.
• Oversee product warranties, repair processes, new design releases, and coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, and Technical Writing staff.
• Report key process indicators to improve customer satisfaction and financial performance.
• Manage budgets, risk calculations, and stakeholder communications while supporting a matrixed environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical discipline (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years hands‑on quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years of management or leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% for business needs.

Required skills

• ISO9001 compliance and audit experience.
• AS9100 compliance and audit experience.
• Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology.
• Quality Management System (QMS) implementation and maintenance.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement tools.
