QA Specialist – Data Center

About the role

The QA Specialist for Data Center projects will act as the on‑site quality champion, ensuring that Black Box’s construction activities meet industry codes, client expectations, and internal Quality Management System (QMS) standards. This role partners with field teams, leadership, clients, and subcontractors to embed quality into daily execution from project start through closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the site‑level point of contact for all quality matters, overseeing the implementation of Black Box’s QMS.
• Develop, deploy, and train staff on quality procedures, creating a tactical QA plan that drives consistent behavior across the site.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments aligned with the project schedule, ensuring compliance with codes, client requirements, and general contractor standards.
• Issue, track, and close non‑conformance reports (NCRs), analysing trends to identify recurring issues.
• Perform corrective‑action verification audits and coordinate with project teams to resolve non‑conforming work.
• Train and coach QA specialists and internal staff, fostering a quality‑focused culture.
• Collaborate with program leaders, clients, and general contractors to integrate quality requirements into both Black Box and customer quality programs.
• Develop and maintain technical installation standards, procedures, and quality documentation; generate and analyse quality metrics to support decision‑making.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including subcontractors and client representatives.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate quality‑focused dialogue and training.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Experience with non‑conformance reporting (NCR) and corrective‑action verification.
