Python Developer

About the role

Kudu Dynamics, a Leidos-owned company, is hiring a Python Developer in Chantilly. The role involves maintaining deployed applications, onboarding users and sourcing and screening new data sources and technologies, acting as the main contact for data sources and technical partners. The position is open for at least three days, with an anticipated close date no earlier than three days after the original posting.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain the deployed application
• Onboard and manage new users
• Search for and screen new data sources and technologies to meet program demands
• Serve as primary point of contact for current and future data sources and technical partners
• Set up technical exchange meetings and gather and catalogue data information
• Understand security restrictions and access requirements

Required profile

• US citizenship with TS/SCI or clearable background
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or a related field, or 10 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree
• At least four years of experience in a Python or Golang development role
• Self-starter requiring minimal supervision, intelligent, proactive and driven to achieve results

Required skills

• Scripting in Python and shell scripting
• Docker and container orchestration (Nomad, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
• GitLab CI/CD
• PostgreSQL or similar database administration/development
• Networking protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTPS, TLS)
• Nice to have: Terraform, Ansible, AWS, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, Linux system administration, RESTful APIs and Angular

The stated pay range is $107,900 to $195,050.
