Purchasing Project Engineer

About the role

The Purchasing Project Engineer will work in a hybrid model (3 days on‑site per week) to ensure cost‑effective, qualified components are delivered on time for new product development projects at Bosch Tool Corporation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier selection and competitive pricing analysis for new parts in New Product Development.
• Coordinate part approvals, gathering inspection and test reports to verify compliance with Bosch procedures.
• Manage multiple purchasing projects simultaneously, overseeing budgets, tooling expenses and technical discussions with suppliers of plastic, machined, die‑cast, electrical, electronic and powder‑metal parts.
• Collaborate with the global purchasing team and internal design groups to meet project milestones and adhere to Bosch purchasing procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
• 5‑7 years of engineering or technical project management experience, preferably with purchasing, costing or manufacturing exposure.
• Strong negotiation abilities and experience influencing suppliers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation skills and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications and CAD files.
• Familiarity with cost analysis, cost accounting and supplier contract documentation.
• Experience using a purchasing platform for supplier quote requests, analysis and award processes.
