About the role

The Town of Jackson is hiring a qualified professional to serve as a combined Street and Water Utility Operator. This full‑time position handles snow removal during winter and manages the town’s water distribution system throughout the rest of the year.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct snow removal operations during winter months.
• Maintain the water distribution system, including plant equipment, wells, pumps, and mains.
• Operate technical digging equipment for removal, backfill, and uncovering of buried water lines and connections.
• Perform analysis and documentation related to the water system.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Experience with snow removal operations.
• Level II DEQ Water Distribution License or ability to obtain within 18 months.

Required skills

• Operation of snow removal equipment.
• Operation of technical digging equipment.
• Maintenance of water distribution system components.
• Analysis and documentation of water system data.
