Public Service Administrator - Real Estate Examinations Supervisor (Upstate)

About the role

The State of Illinois, Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, is hiring a Public Service Administrator (class 37015) to supervise the upstate program of real estate examinations. The position is based in Chicago, full time, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a hybrid schedule of 4 to 5 days per week in the office. It is a union position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the upstate program of examinations for the Division of Real Estate licensees under general direction, serving as working supervisor.
• Represent the Department in prosecutions of real estate profession cases by offering testimony on the examination process and on the results of specific examinations.
• Prepare budgetary input for the area of responsibility.
• Attend training sessions and meetings to stay current on laws, rules and regulations, department policies and issues affecting the real estate professions.
• Provide backup, including supervisory duties, to the Downstate Real Estate Examinations Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned, within the scope of the duties listed above.
