Public Service Administrator, Opt 1 - Gaming Technology Manager

About the role

The Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) is hiring a Gaming Technology Manager (Public Service Administrator, Opt 1) in Chicago, Illinois. The position is the subject matter expert on gaming and gambling equipment, software and systems, and oversees the newly established Gaming Technology Unit, which handles certification and tracking of all gaming equipment in the State of Illinois.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Gaming Technology Unit, responsible for certification and tracking of all gaming equipment in the State of Illinois.
• Develop policy and procedures for the Gaming Technology Unit.
• Expand the technological knowledge and capabilities of the IGB.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of the Illinois Gambling Act, Video Gaming Act and Sports Wagering Act.
• Knowledge of gaming equipment testing and certification processes.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the State does not provide visa sponsorship.
• Bilingual skills are welcome; the position has no bilingual option listed.
