Public Relations & Communications Specialist

About the role

The Public Relations and Communications Specialist will join Mahou USA’s Administrative Team in Grand Rapids, MI, working from the Founders Brewing Co. office. The role supports earned media, corporate communications, and digital content across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Communications & Public Relations on strategy, planning, and execution of PR initiatives.
• Write and oversee internal and external communications such as press releases, newsletters, blog posts, presentations, and social media content.
• Maintain consistent voice and design standards across print and digital materials.
• Manage relationships with external PR agencies, track KPIs, and drive priority projects.
• Coordinate with marketing and taproom teams on PR and social media campaigns.
• Handle media inquiries, attend events, and manage special projects.
• Support community relations, partnerships, and act as an ERG liaison.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in corporate or agency PR and communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation development ability.
• Light graphic design capability and solid business acumen.
• Experience in seeding campaigns, strategic planning, and business development.
• Creative, decisive, collaborative, and able to work independently.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
