The Division of Family and Community Services is hiring a Public Aid Eligibility Assistant in the LaSalle FCRC Office in Ottawa, Illinois. The position is full time, salaried and unionized, with four vacancies. It sits under direct supervision and supports routine casework functions.

Key responsibilities

• Screen and register applications
• Sort incoming documents and identify them
• Maintain office supplies and forms
• Provide office receptionist functions for support staff
• Prepare files protecting customers' confidential information

Required profile

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the State does not sponsor employment visas
• Bilingual skills are welcome

What we offer

• Anticipated salary of $4,144-$5,429 per month ($49,728-$65,148 per year)
