Psychologist – University Counseling Center

About the role

The University of Miami Counseling Center seeks a licensed Psychologist to provide comprehensive mental‑health services to students. Working under the Executive Director, the psychologist will manage a full clinical caseload, delivering individual and group psychotherapy, assessments, and crisis intervention.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct short‑term individual and group psychotherapy for students.
• Provide emergency and crisis intervention during regular hours and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Supervise graduate practicum and internship students at the Counseling Center.
• Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services on high‑risk cases (suicidal, homicidal, severe psychopathology).
• Preserve client confidentiality while supporting university policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Licensed Psychologist with experience in student mental‑health services.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a full caseload and provide crisis care.
