Property Field Adjuster – Richmond, VA

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Property Field Adjuster to serve the Richmond, VA territory. The role involves investigating property losses, conducting on‑site inspections, documenting findings and delivering accurate reports to insurers, claimants and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site inspections of residential and commercial properties, vehicles, equipment and accident scenes.
• Document damages, conditions and causation indicators through notes, measurements, photographs and diagrams.
• Evaluate loss facts and support coverage, liability and exposure assessments.
• Obtain statements from insureds, claimants and witnesses as needed.
• Prepare timely, accurate reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with examiners, carriers, vendors, attorneys and other claim participants.
• Maintain complete file documentation in line with company standards and regulatory expectations.
• Escalate complex or large‑loss exposures, litigation indicators or specialty claim concerns.
• Travel throughout the assigned Virginia territory to complete field assignments within service expectations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of field adjusting or related claims experience.
• Active adjuster license(s) in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Residence within or near the Richmond market and willingness to travel throughout the territory.
• Strong technical judgment and professional communication skills.
• Ability to manage assignments efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
