Field Adjuster – Property (Virginia & Maryland)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Field Adjuster – Property to handle residential and commercial property losses across Virginia and Maryland. You will conduct on‑site inspections, assess damages, and prepare detailed reports for insurers, claimants, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site inspections and investigations for assigned claims.
• Document damages, conditions, and causation through notes, measurements, photos, and diagrams.
• Evaluate loss facts and support coverage, liability, and exposure assessments.
• Obtain statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
• Prepare timely, accurate reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with examiners, managers, carriers, vendors, attorneys, and other participants.
• Maintain complete file documentation per company standards and regulatory expectations.
• Escalate complex issues, large‑loss exposures, or litigation indicators.
• Manage field assignments within service expectations and turnaround times.
• Travel throughout the VA/MD territory as required.

Required profile

• 3+ years of field adjusting or related claims experience.
• Active adjuster license(s) with ability to obtain additional licenses for the territory.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally within Virginia and Maryland.
• Strong documentation, organizational, and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xactimate.
• Experience using Xactware products.
• Familiarity with claims platforms, mobile documentation tools, and estimating/reporting systems.

What we offer

• 100% commission‑based compensation at 42% commission.
• Bi‑weekly draw of $1,500.
