Project Purchasing Agent

About the role

CACI is hiring a Project Purchasing Agent to support the US Southern Command's Caribbean Basin Strategic Initiative (CBSI) program under its SCOPES task order. The role provides purchasing support for discrete items in cooperation with Southern Command staff and US Security Cooperation Offices at US embassies in the area of responsibility, with no travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the procurement, delivery and distribution of supplies and equipment, using purchase cards and remote coordination.
• Streamline procurement processes and draft purchase agreements for government approval.
• Track purchases from order to final invoice, ensuring compliance with regulations, cost comparisons, adherence to the spend plan, annotated receipts and timely invoicing.
• Help prepare periodic financial reports, briefings and program communications, and draft documents answering requests for information and program data.

Required profile

• At least three years of DoD or commercial experience in accounting, finance, programming or a similar role in a high-stress environment with strict deadlines.
• Experience using a corporate purchase card within an overall budget.
• Experience designing reports and complex spreadsheets for management and clients.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team; secret clearance required to start.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance desired; Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills and quick ability to learn new software.
• Purchase card management and report design.
