Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

About the role

F.H. Paschen, a construction company with over 115 years of experience, is hiring a Project Manager for its Water and Wastewater Treatment market. The manager oversees a variety of projects, which may involve private and public owners and delivery methods such as lump sum, negotiated and design-build work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire project, including scheduling, cost management, invoicing, purchasing, quality and safety
• Create and maintain a healthy team with the project team, owner and the wider organization
• Take part in preconstruction services, including estimating and value engineering
• Supervise Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers and Construction Interns, and supervise Superintendents' performance
• Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners, and document changes affecting completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners
• Develop and enforce the field quality assurance and quality control plan and the project safety plan with the Superintendent
• Manage MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements and EEO/Affirmative Action contract requirements
• Act as point of contact for project management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners and engineers

Required profile

• BS in Construction Management or Engineering and 6-10 years of construction experience
• Experience managing projects over $10 million in the Water and Wastewater Treatment industry
• Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel at once
• Experience with a general contractor is required
• Preferred: experience managing self-performed work

Required skills

• Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting and cash flow management
• Computer skills and knowledge of project management and scheduling
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Preferred: Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, P6, Procore and HCSS
