Project Manager – Software Engineering

About the role

BerTech is a custom software and AI company serving clients in real estate, finance, professional services, and contracting. We are looking for a Project Manager to lead Agile software delivery, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and act as the primary liaison with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Plan weekly sprints, run daily Slack stand‑ups and Thursday sprint reviews.
• Maintain Jira hygiene by writing clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and keeping status up‑to‑date.
• Provide 24‑hour resolution on every “Needs PM” ticket.
• Coordinate across back‑end, front‑end, QA, and design teams.
• Lead client‑facing meetings, offering recommendations rather than just status updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing software engineering teams using Agile/Scrum.
• Fluent in Jira and JQL, able to craft queries from memory.
• Strong technical literacy – can read pull requests, follow architecture discussions, and troubleshoot integrations.
• Proven ability to write precise acceptance criteria that leave no follow‑up questions.
• Comfort presenting options and recommendations to stakeholders.
