Project Manager I – Engineering Projects

About the role

This in‑plant position is responsible for managing engineering‑focused projects across refinery, petrochemical, chemical, offshore, pipeline or utility environments. The Project Manager I will work directly with clients to define requirements, develop scopes, budgets and timelines, and ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed work scopes, control budgets and project timelines aligned with client needs.
• Manage 10‑30 concurrent projects, typically ranging from $250K to larger values.
• Coordinate resources, vendors and suppliers to acquire equipment and technology.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and promote professionalism and safety on site.
• Foster client relationships and communicate project status clearly.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of industrial experience.
• Valid driver’s license; professional license preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to work on industrial plant sites, including walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 25 lb.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience using project management software (e.g., MS Project or similar).
