Project Manager – HVAC & Commercial Plumbing

About the role

We are a growing mechanical contractor seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC and plumbing projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, collaborates closely with architects, engineers, and contractors, and ensures projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of commercial HVAC/plumbing projects, from planning to handover.
• Review and negotiate contracts to secure optimal terms for the company.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking milestones.
• Manage project budgets and provide regular financial updates to senior management.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
• Identify and resolve issues that could affect timelines or costs.
• Communicate progress and address client concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor work quality and enforce corrective actions when needed.
• Promote a safety‑first culture on all job sites.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience managing commercial plumbing or HVAC projects.
• Proven track record handling projects ranging from $50 k to $25 M.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• Excellent project and budget management abilities.
• Effective communication skills for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
• Relevant qualifications in plumbing, mechanical engineering, or construction management are a plus.
