Regional Safety Trainer – Training & Compliance

About the role

The Regional Safety Trainer is responsible for delivering, maintaining, and overseeing safety and technical training programs for personnel across the region. Working under the Region Manager, the incumbent ensures compliance with corporate policies, conducts safety audits, and verifies that all crew members hold the required certifications, especially the Line Clearance Qualification Standard (LCQS).

Key responsibilities

• Teach and demonstrate advanced tree climbing, felling, rigging, and roping techniques.
• Conduct DOT pre‑trip inspections and administer the Driver Management Program.
• Provide First Aid and CPR training to all staff.
• Perform regional safety audits and enforce corporate safety policies.
• Verify crew certifications and ensure proper LCQS training at every level.
• Travel to out‑of‑state sites for regular work and emergency storm response.

Required profile

• Ability to climb trees, operate a chainsaw, and perform minor DOT equipment repairs.
• Strong communication skills in English; Spanish bilingualism preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid DOT medical card; a commercial driver’s license is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work a 40‑50 hour week, including occasional weekends.
