Project Manager - Generator Complex Projects

About the role

The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of generator major projects, from engineering and manufacturing to delivery and installation of upgraded components such as stators, rotors, excitation equipment, and auxiliaries. This role ensures seamless coordination between external customers and internal teams to deliver high‑value, complex projects safely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cradle‑to‑grave project management for generator upgrades and related balance‑of‑plant systems.
• Act as the primary interface with customers, marketing, engineering, factories, finance, and service offices.
• Provide regular project updates, conduct design reviews, and manage factory testing and contract deliverables.
• Control project financials, handle change orders, and resolve contract issues.
• Develop and execute quality, risk‑management, and zero‑harm safety plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (higher degree preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in customer relationship management and project or field‑service management, preferably with generator projects.
• PMI or IPMA certification (or ability to obtain IPMA within three years).
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to nuclear power plants.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% internationally.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
