Project Manager – Protection & Control (HV Substations)

About the role

As a member of the Grid Automation team, you will lead projects that deliver automation and protection solutions for high‑voltage substations. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of these projects, ensuring they meet internal and external customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage protection, control and HMI projects for HV substations from initiation to close‑out.
• Oversee project budgets and resource allocation, keeping work within financial limits.
• Guarantee delivery on schedule, within budget and to high‑quality standards.
• Handle risk, opportunity and claim management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support proposal development during the offering phase.
• Track progress, manage changes and claims, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules and reports.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and quality requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in electrical, electronic, automation engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in protection and control systems for HV/MV substations.
• Project‑management certifications (e.g., IPMA, PMP, PMI) are a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem‑solving and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel up to 20 % domestically for site activities.
• Live in or willing to relocate to Raleigh, NC or Orlando, FL (relocation assistance may be provided).
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer‑sponsored visa.
