Manufacturing Buyer

About the role

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, is looking for a Manufacturing Buyer to join its procurement team in Minnesota. The role offers the chance to influence purchasing decisions, work with diverse suppliers, and support the company’s growth and innovation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Follow company procedures for purchasing materials and services.
• Analyze market trends, identify supply sources, and process product requests.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, secure quantity discounts, and manage specifications.
• Maintain accurate vendor databases, lead times, open purchases, and shortage information.
• Update inventory records in the software system and generate reports for decision‑making.
• Negotiate contracts, handle complaints, and ensure vendor performance.
• Resolve quality issues and initiate programs to improve vendor relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
