Utilities Technician – Refrigeration (3rd Shift)

About the role

We are hiring Industrial Utilities/HVAC‑R Technicians for the 3rd‑shift team at our food‑manufacturing plant. The role provides on‑the‑job training and classroom support for individuals starting or continuing a career in utilities and refrigeration.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair large HVAC/R equipment, including ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Maintain drive‑in coolers/freezers, process glycol chillers, steam boilers, water and chemistry control systems.
• Operate and maintain reverse osmosis, softeners, filters, glycol heat exchangers, compressed‑air, hydraulics, and make‑air units.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep equipment logs using computerized maintenance systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED (preferred) with ammonia refrigeration experience.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing or HVAC/R experience or related education; RETA‑CARO certification preferred (or obtainable within first year).
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments, lift up to 50 lb, and work at heights.
• Strong time‑management, communication, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
