Project Manager, Construction

About the role

The Project Manager, Construction acts as the owner’s representative for multi‑state cannabis facility development. You will oversee planning, design, permitting, construction, and close‑out of cultivation, processing, and retail sites while ensuring compliance with strict regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between company leadership and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and maintain detailed cost reports.
• Manage multiple projects across various states, overseeing general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and consultants.
• Conduct site visits to verify quality, safety, schedule compliance, and approve pay applications, change orders, and invoices.
• Interface with local municipalities, inspectors, and regulatory agencies to secure permits and ensure code compliance.
• Collaborate with cultivation, processing, and retail operations to align construction with operational needs.
• Oversee equipment procurement and installation, including HVAC, electrical, fertigation, lighting, and security systems.
• Lead commissioning activities and turnover of facilities to operations teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience or 6+ years in construction trades.
• Strong strategic, critical‑thinking, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
• Willingness to travel 50‑75% of the time.

What we offer

• Base salary range $85,000 – $100,000 per year.
• Eligibility for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
