About the role
The Division of Continuing and International Education at the University of Miami seeks part‑time lecturers to deliver high‑quality, non‑credit summer courses for the UM Academies. You will teach adult and professional learners in pre‑college, executive education, and certificate programs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver scheduled non‑credit courses and certificate instruction using approved curricula.
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences through lectures, case studies, applied exercises, and discussions.
- Adapt teaching methods for in‑person, hybrid, and online environments.
- Ensure course delivery aligns with institutional standards, program outcomes, and workforce expectations.
- Assess student learning via assignments, exams, projects, and presentations.
- Provide timely feedback, academic guidance, and maintain accurate attendance and grading records.
- Collaborate with program leadership on curriculum updates and instructional resources.
Required profile
- Master’s degree required; Ph.D. preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching.
- Teaching or professional experience in relevant subject areas.
