Program Coordinator – IACUC

About the role

The Program Coordinator (IACUC) supports the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for animal research and teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Manage administrative functions of the IACUC, including scheduling meetings, inspections, and training sessions.
• Prepare and distribute agendas and meeting materials, and follow up on action items.
• Maintain IACUC policies, monitor review cycles, and update the committee webpage.
• Assist faculty and researchers with the Muse electronic protocol system and verify training records using Workday and CITI.
• Review protocol submissions for completeness and compliance before meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED with at least four years of administrative or program coordination experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, negotiation, and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and ability to meet recurring deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with Workday HR system.
• Familiarity with CITI Program training modules.
• Proficiency using Muse electronic protocol management system.
