Production Planning Senior Analyst

About the role

The Production Planning Senior Analyst is responsible for production and inventory planning for Barilla's US portfolio, balancing customer service, inventory levels, production efficiency and supply chain costs. This hybrid position is based in Northbrook, IL and supports short, medium and long‑term plans across the North American network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans to meet service level and inventory targets while optimizing manufacturing, import and co‑packing capacity.
• Partner with import vendors and supply teams to coordinate inbound supply, monitor production and shipment timelines.
• Analyze demand deviations with demand planning, prioritize and resolve unexpected customer demand situations.
• Run capacity analyses, manage projects for new items or packaging changes, and ensure on‑time execution.
• Implement and improve medium‑ and short‑term planning processes, manage inventory risk, and maintain master data in SAP.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline.
• 3+ years of supply chain experience in the consumer packaged goods industry.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• SAP (including APO module) for production or distribution planning.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
