Production Planner II (B2)

About the role

Join Applied Materials as a Production Planner II (B2) in Austin, supporting the NPC manufacturing team to ensure production schedules are followed and coordinated. Key responsibilities

• Maintain SAP production order release schedule and MRP start/end dates to provide on‑time material to manufacturing and engineering.
• Perform pre‑shortage analysis, review MRP execution, reconcile supply and demand, and validate master scheduling.
• Collaborate with buyers, planners, finance, and engineering to manage material impacted by engineering change orders and resolve WIP issues.
• Audit WIP physical inventory, attend production meetings, and communicate material shortage status.
• Analyze usage data, control inventory levels, and expedite shortages while setting up or modifying inventory systems.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in production planning, inventory control, and process control within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to train lower‑level personnel and act as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues.
