Production Operator – BDC (Manufacturing)

About the role

Moog is seeking a Production Operator for its BDC line in Murphy, NC. You will join a performance‑driven culture where teamwork and technical problem‑solving are valued.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical products, including rotor, stator, and motor sub‑assemblies, following documented procedures and tooling.
• Operate hand tools such as screwdrivers and manual presses, and load/monitor automated machinery.
• Apply varnish, glue, and activator to stator and rotor assemblies.
• Complete final motor/drive assembly, test performance against specifications, and package the finished units.
• Maintain cross‑training on all production operations and support overtime as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal, written, and computer instructions in English.
• Mechanical aptitude with good hand dexterity and color vision.
• Ability to lift 20 lb frequently and up to 40 lb occasionally.
• Willingness to stand or sit for long periods and perform physical tasks such as climbing, stooping, and kneeling.

Required skills

• Soldering (or ability to become certified).
• Operation of hand tools (screwdrivers, manual presses).
• Automated machinery loading and monitoring.
• Electromechanical assembly and motor assembly.
• Testing motor/drive performance.
