2nd Shift Production Operator – DCC

About the role

We are looking for a reliable 2nd‑shift Production Operator to join our DCC team in Murphy, North Carolina. You will help assemble electromechanical motor products, ensuring quality and on‑time delivery while working in a collaborative, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble rotor, stator, and motor sub‑assemblies using work instructions and tooling.
• Operate machine strip‑per tools and hand tools to remove insulation from lead wires.
• Install lead‑wire pin connectors and operate stator potting mixers, applicators, and mold transfer presses.
• Apply varnish, glue, and potting compounds to stator and rotor assemblies.
• Attach heat sinks to circuit boards, complete final motor assembly and perform performance testing.
• Load, monitor and troubleshoot automated machinery, and package finished motor/drive units.
• Cross‑train on all production operations and support overtime as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) and ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Mechanical aptitude with good hand‑dexterity, color vision and ability to lift 20 lb regularly and up to 40 lb occasionally.
• Experience with soldering or willingness to become certified.
• Comfort working around strong electromagnetic fields and standing or sitting for long periods.
