About the role
Moog offers a performance‑driven culture where employees solve technical challenges and enjoy a balanced quality of life. As a Production Worker in Murphy, NC you will contribute to the assembly of electromechanical motor products on an onsite shift.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble electromechanical products including rotor, stator, and motor sub‑assemblies using manufacturing documentation and tooling.
- Operate machine stripper, hand tools, stator potting mixer, and mold transfer press to process lead wires, apply varnish, glue and potting compounds.
- Install lead‑wire pin connectors, attach heat sinks to circuit boards, and complete final motor assembly and performance testing.
- Load and monitor automated machinery, prepare and package finished motor/drive assemblies, and perform cross‑training on all operations.
- Maintain safe work practices, stand or sit for long periods, and work overtime including Saturdays as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal, written and computer instructions in English.
- Mechanical aptitude with good hand dexterity, eyesight for color distinction, and ability to lift 20 lb frequently and up to 40 lb occasionally.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to perform simple calculations.
Required skills
- Soldering (or ability to become certified).
- Operating machine stripper and hand tools.
- Operating stator potting mixer/applicator.
- Applying varnish, glue, and potting compounds.
- Operating mold transfer press.
- Attaching heat sinks and installing lead‑wire pin connectors.
- Motor assembly testing and performance verification.
