Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR)

About the role

ASCO Equipment is hiring a Product Support Sales Representative in its Austin, Texas Service Department. The role builds relationships with customers by selling Preventative Maintenance packages and Shop and Field Service repairs, working within an assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Sell parts and service jobs, PM contracts, machine inspections, machine repairs, remanufactured components, extended warranties and special parts promotions
• Call on current customers and develop new ones at customer offices, shops and job sites
• Follow up on completed goods and major parts and service sales, and assist after-sales service calls so equipment meets customer expectations
• Provide limited technical support where applicable and address customer concerns
• Ensure parts and service estimates meet ASCO pricing and department approval standards
• Manage pre-planning, post-call notes and follow-up actions in a CRM tool
• Collect profiling information to improve the customer experience

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Proven sales ability and strong customer relationship skills
• Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
• Planning, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Preferred: knowledge of heavy equipment and equipment components, repair times and technical aptitude

Required skills

• Solid computer skills and knowledge of general business software
• CRM use for follow-up and notes
