Product Quality & Reliability Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Product Quality & Reliability Engineer to evaluate materials, properties, and techniques used in production and to support design engineering with component selection and testing. The role focuses on ensuring product reliability and developing analytical tools for early problem identification.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate reliability of materials, properties, and production techniques and advise design engineering on component selection and testing.
• Develop and implement acceleration techniques, analytical tools, and statistical process control procedures to meet reliability objectives.
• Manage multiple quality assurance projects, prepare quality reports, and continuously improve QA documentation and inspection processes.
• Perform FMECA, document CRAMS, and work with suppliers on test plans and PQP activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in reliability engineering and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead functional teams or projects with moderate complexity and risk.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, capable of guiding others to innovative solutions.
