Product Owner / Senior Product Owner

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking a Product Owner (or Senior Product Owner) to join its Pay.gov Product Team. In this role you will lead the product roadmap, prioritize work across cross‑functional teams, and make data‑driven decisions that deliver the greatest business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the voice of the customer throughout product definition, UI design, and bug triage.
• Refine and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and customer needs.
• Translate business priorities into clear Product Features and User Stories that explain the “what” and “why”.
• Coordinate product development, collect and analyze production data, and assess product impact.
• Gather, analyze, and prioritize input from customers, internal stakeholders, and partners to create justified product requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on requirement elicitation and maintain working knowledge of supporting software and technologies.
• Provide timely status updates to functional leaders and work closely with agencies to identify needs and solutions.
• Identify new business opportunities, develop business plans, and evaluate market opportunities.
• Make decisions on product features, trade‑offs, and team priorities.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Associate degree with 5 years of related experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience, OR Master’s degree with 0‑1 year of related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead product development and make data‑driven decisions.
