Product Marketing Specialist

About the role

Kyocera-AVX is looking for a Product Marketing Specialist to work with Product Managers and support all business aspects of the product line, including maintaining, growing and expanding specific product lines. The role covers inventory management, margin management, revenue growth, profit objectives and other needs of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing daily with market and customer segments.
• Analyze sales and marketing data and P&L statements by product line and customer.
• Support product lines globally with the Product Manager and track and forecast business activity.
• Train Customer Service and Field Sales personnel on the products, applications and uses, using local visits, webinars and other resources.
• Generate technical notes periodically to update the field on new product developments and support design-ins, tracking design-ins and design wins.
• Support strategic growth programs and backroom support systems globally.
• Analyze the P&L and business to meet stated profit objectives and revenue targets by product line or customer.
• Support the Product Manager in managing inventory levels and turnover ratios.

Required profile

• BS/BA degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• 1+ year of experience in a related sales and/or marketing function is preferred.
• Experience with passive electronic components is preferred.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.

Required skills

• Excellent Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
• Ability to learn and use software and databases such as Oracle or SAP.
• Knowledge of competitor product lines and their market position applied to growth activities.
• Working knowledge of marketing activities and quotation systems for OEM and distribution channels.
