Product Marketing Manager

About the role

Kyocera-AVX is looking for a Product Marketing Manager in Erie, responsible for implementing and managing projects and programs on behalf of the Senior Director, North America Marketing. The role develops and runs a product marketing business plan that builds a profitable product line, working with plant departments such as Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing, R&D and Quality.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project and program progress across departments and coordinate them when needed.
• Watch plant performance and recommend operational changes to meet capacity, on-time delivery, quality and manufacturing cost targets.
• Act as liaison between Marketing, Plant Sales, Sales Service, authorized representatives, direct sales personnel and customers.
• Keep departments informed through oral and written reports and give presentations internally and externally.
• Develop marketing plans and programs to reach profitable sales goals.
• Set up a system for collecting and sharing product performance and application information with the sales force.
• Analyse market potential, direct and indirect competition, prices, policies and promotions, and act against competitive threats.
• Recommend dropping unprofitable products and proposing new products or expansion projects.
• Help resolve customer complaints through prompt investigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or a technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience as a product manager or in sales administration, preferably in electronic components.
• Attention to detail, ability to handle several assignments and to pass on technical information accurately.
• Ability to travel 10-25%.
• Experience managing P&L responsibilities.
