Product Manager - Online Platforms

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Product Manager for its online platforms. The role delivers business value to drive sales, improve efficiency and improve customer satisfaction by producing quality products within a designated enterprise product line. It works closely with developers, designers and business partners, supports in-depth business reviews and presents across all levels of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Strategy and planning (40%): turn customer and associate needs into product strategy, set goals and metrics, run end-user research to define user stories and MVP, partner with Finance on business plans, and monitor the competitive landscape and industry innovations.
• Delivery and execution (30%): align the product with priorities, document and review quality and change control standards, create, prioritize and accept user stories, take part in standups, iteration planning, demos and retrospectives, and explain technical concepts simply to stakeholders.
• People (30%): collaborate with engineering and UX designers, advocate for modern software development practices, manage stakeholder expectations and communicate the long-term product strategy clearly.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1-3 years of relevant experience, including as a Product Manager in a modern software development environment, and experience with Agile, XP, user research and competitive analysis.

Required skills

• Modern software product management practices and Agile methodologies, including XP principles such as paired programming, test-driven development and continuous deployment.
• Creating, prioritizing and accepting user stories.
• Communicating with and influencing functional and technical team members at all levels.
