Product Management Manager

About the role

The Product Management Manager at The Home Depot guides and executes the delivery of business value within a designated enterprise product line, driving sales, efficiency and customer satisfaction through quality products. The role works closely with developers, designers and business partners, supports in-depth business reviews and presents across all levels of the organization. It sits in the Store Support Center and typically involves 5% to 20% overnight travel.

Key responsibilities

• Strategy and planning (30%): align product teams and feature sets, turn customer and associate needs into product strategy, create epics, define goals and metrics, and recommend product improvements
• Delivery and execution (40%): review product work against priorities, ensure quality and change control standards, remove roadblocks, prioritize requests and report progress to leadership
• People (30%): mentor and coach Product Managers, run annual and mid-year reviews, foster collaboration with Engineering and UX teams, advocate for the end user and guide junior members

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
• Preferred: 5-7 years of relevant experience, including product management in a modern software environment and guiding junior team members

Required skills

• Modern software product management practices and agile methodologies, including XP principles such as paired programming, test-driven development and continuous deployment
• Creating, prioritizing and accepting epics and user stories
• User research, testing, competitive research and analytics
• Communication with and influence of functional and technical stakeholders at all levels
