Product Lead, Embedded Finance

About the role

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system used by more than 675,000 businesses, is looking for a Product Lead for its Embedded Finance portfolio. You will own the long-term product vision, strategy and roadmap for embedded payments, financial accounts, cards, treasury services and global money movement, and lead a team of Product Managers. The role is based in the San Francisco office three days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Own the long-term product vision, strategy and roadmap for the Embedded Finance portfolio.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, fostering ownership, product quality, customer focus and continuous learning.
• Identify ways to expand how customers and partners use Airwallex's financial infrastructure, balancing platform investments with immediate needs.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, Commercial, Partnerships, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal and Executive Leadership to deliver scalable products.
• Use customer insights, market dynamics, competitive intelligence and data to set priorities, define success metrics and measure outcomes.
• Shape company strategy and act as a thought partner to senior leadership on platform strategy and ecosystem growth.

Required profile

• 10+ years of product management experience, including leading product teams in high-growth technology or fintech environments.
• Proven track record of defining and scaling platform, infrastructure, payments, fintech or ecosystem products.
• Ability to connect customer needs, technical capabilities and business objectives into a clear product vision.
• Deep customer empathy, strong analytical and commercial mindset, and comfort working across multiple time zones.
• Strong academic record from a highly respected university.
• Preferred: experience in Embedded Finance, Banking-as-a-Service, Payments, Treasury, Cards, APIs or Developer Platforms; experience building products for businesses, platforms or marketplaces; experience in global markets and regulatory complexity.
