Producer - Private Client Insurance

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Producer for its Private Client Services team. Producers turn prospects into clients by closing business deals: they identify prospective clients, build sales strategies, grow client relationships, develop proposals and negotiate sales contracts. The role suits a seasoned, independent contributor who manages projects and collaborates with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a large book of business of complex or high-yield accounts through frequent sales presentations, calls and meetings.
• Engage prospective Centers of Influence, generate interest and schedule meetings or presentations.
• Create sales proposals, presentations and RFP responses that address complex prospect needs and communicate the value of internal services.
• Lead account processes from identification to closing, including underwriting discussions, and secure a beneficial financial outcome for the client.
• Analyse markets and industries to identify relationship needs, target new accounts and find expansion opportunities for existing ones.
• Work with account representatives and stakeholders to ensure service satisfaction and explore cross-op co sales opportunities.

Required profile

• Broker license.
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• At least five years of experience in new business development, ideally in private client insurance.
• Proven insurance industry experience with private client insurance products.
• Member of professional and industry or regional organizations, attending conferences and events to maintain a broad network.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings as needed.

Required skills

• Experience with Epic, the agency management system, is preferred.
