Procurement Analyst – State Parks (Baton Rouge)

About the role

The Office of State Parks is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support statewide procurement activities, vendor management, and capital project purchasing. Based in the State Parks Administrative Office, you will ensure compliance with state purchasing policies and facilitate efficient acquisition of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes, including vendor identification, registration, and contract administration.
• Utilize the LaCarte state purchasing card for authorized purchases and reconcile invoices with procurement documentation.
• Coordinate WIFI and telecommunications installations across park sites.
• Oversee purchasing and coordination of capital outlay repairs and construction projects spanning multiple fiscal years.
• Monitor and adjust budgets to ensure financial transparency and compliance.
• Collect and analyze data to support decision‑making and reporting.

Required profile

• Three years of experience in procurement, contracts, grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing, OR six years of full‑time work experience in any field, OR a bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures, demonstrate accountability, and manage projects effectively.
• Strong analytical skills for data usage and financial information interpretation.
