Process Engineer

About the role

Ocean Spray is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, scale‑up and qualify equipment and processes that support its global food‑and‑beverage business. The role is hybrid, based at the corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Provide process engineering expertise to cross‑functional teams for design, scale‑up and qualification of new products and processes.
• Lead technical assessment, validation and commissioning of processes at Ocean Spray and partner manufacturing facilities.
• Identify, validate and implement modifications to improve yields, throughput, utility savings and process control.
• Analyze existing operations from raw materials to finished packages to troubleshoot production challenges and recommend corrective actions.
• Design, develop and execute pilot‑plant experiments and collaborate with strategic vendors for scale‑up and technology exploration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or advanced) degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time.
• Creative thinker with strong problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Highly organized self‑starter able to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with MS Project.
• Data analysis and visualization in Python or similar tools.
