About the role

Ochsner seeks a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join the NICU team in New Orleans. The role involves evaluating patients and delivering inpatient speech therapy programs based on physician orders, while collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve patient‑specific goals.

Key responsibilities

Perform evaluations and provide treatment programs tailored to NICU patients.
Assess patient response to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with documentation standards.
Ensure treatment protocols align with hospital quality and safety targets.
Adapt communication style to respect patient privacy and individual needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
Current Speech Pathologist license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Certification of Clinical Competence from ASHA required within two years of hire.
