PRN RN – Emergency Department (ED)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Mentor Hospital. This position provides flexible, as‑needed night shifts in a 19‑bed, 24/7 emergency setting that utilizes innovative telehealth technology.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to emergency patients.
• Implement, monitor, and adjust patient care plans.
• Record and communicate patients’ conditions to the care team.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and serve as primary liaison.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Assess discharge needs and arrange appropriate follow‑up.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current state RN licensure.
• Minimum two years of recent related nursing experience (or internal candidates with orientation approval).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification upon hire or within one year.
