About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a PRN Registered Nurse in the Chemo Infusion Clinic on Jeff Hwy. You will provide high‑quality nursing care to oncology patients receiving infusion therapy, following Ochsner’s standards of practice and patient‑centered values.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, effective patient care in the infusion setting.
• Assess patient learning needs, educate patients and families, and adapt communication to diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
• Delegate, direct, and collaborate with licensed and ancillary team members to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and Ochsner’s privacy and safety policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior work experience required; new graduates are welcome.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
