About the role

The Acute Medical Emergency Team (AMET) at South Pointe Hospital provides rapid response and critical interventions for patients at risk of clinical deterioration. This PRN RN position works variable shifts, supporting both the AMET and ICU units.

Key responsibilities

Respond to codes and rapid response calls, delivering CPR, intubation, defibrillation, and emergency medication administration.
Provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and document patient conditions.
Collaborate with physicians, carry out orders, and assess discharge needs.
Participate in education, quality improvement initiatives, and safety programs.

Required profile

Graduate from an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
Two years of recent acute care experience (or internal candidates with less experience after orientation).
Ability to work variable PRN shifts and handle physically demanding tasks.

Required skills

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Full range of motion for patient handling and lifting.
