PRN Physical Therapist (Day Shift)

About the role

Ashe Memorial Hospital, recognized as Ashe County's Best Place to Work from 2022-2025, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for its Rehab Services team. The position is PRN, day shift (Monday to Friday, hours vary), with no travel required. Pay is based on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Administer therapeutic interventions to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and families about treatment goals, recovery expectations and home exercises
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, rehab aides and support staff
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure timely charge entry
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Take part in quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings and staff education

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current North Carolina Physical Therapist license
• Current CPR certification
• Preferred: experience in pediatrics and/or neurology
• Preferred: strong leadership, communication and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively in healthcare
• Meets vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered); background check and drug screening required
