PRN MRI Technologist

About the role

Ashe Memorial Hospital's Imaging Department is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist in West Jefferson, NC. The technologist performs high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. No travel is required and there are no supervisory responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols and physician orders
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and proper selection of imaging parameters
• Guide patients through procedures with clear communication and compassionate care
• Monitor patient safety, including screening for MRI contraindications
• Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain imaging equipment and quality control standards
• Manage workflow efficiently and keep accurate documentation

Required profile

• ARRT certification (required)
• Current CPR certification (required)
• At least six months of MRI clinical experience preferred
• Compliance with hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
• Successful criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening after offer
